Chicago's Moksha Yoga Center is one of the most established yoga studios in the US. With three location, more than 40 teachers, and a busy calendar of events that provides workshops led by master teachers from all over the world, Moksha offers its community a comprehensive environment in which to explore a broad variety of yoga theory and practice. It can be very challenging, particularly for a new teacher, to establish themselves and develop a loyal following of students. To retain its teachers and promote their classes, Moksha chose to feature a teacher each month and offers students new to that teacher a free, first class. Heartbeest proposed that Moksha produce a video for each featured teacher to let prospective students really have an intimate experience of that individual. Moksha and Heartbeest settled on a documentary-style approach. Each film is different, following no set formula, yet delivering a unique glimpse into the featured teacher's yoga practice and their lives. Here are all of the Moksha Yoga Teacher features in their entirety for your viewing enjoyment. |
